For the last 10 months, we’ve been spending more and more time at home, or specifically at our bedroom. And since we’ll be spending some more time inside, why don’t we make a change of scenery to freshen things up? Here are a few things that you should consider to re-decorate:
1. Painting The Wall
Wall is the biggest part of your room, so repainting it will instantly change the ambience. Lighter colors are popular pick because it’s easy to style it with various interior design. But you can also pick a darker color like grey to give a cooler atmosphere to your room. Lastly, wallpaper can also be an option if you have a certain style you want to try.
2. Working Table
Whether you are a student, a freelancer or a mom, you need a table designed specifically to accommodate your activities. It doesn’t have to be big, but it has to be organized to your daily habits. The purpose is to make it easier for you to study or work from the comfort of your own space.

3. Dressing Corner
No more messy bed buried with clothes, because after reading this, you will spare some space for dressing up and get ready. Yes, we dress up every single day, even if we’re not going out. So we believe keeping it organized will help you a great deal. The key is the same with working table: organized it based on your daily needs.

4. Lighting
Have you ever put more consideration about lighting setup in your room? If you never, now is the time. For bedroom, you want the lighting to give the tone of warm and relaxing. The main lighting can be on the ceiling and it should be the brightest in the room to accommodate your daily activities. When you are going to sleep, you’ll need a dimmer light. This can be solved by standing lamp or table lamp by the bedside, just the right amount of light you need to read some books and wind down.

5. The Bed
It’s not a bedroom without a comfortable bed for you to lay your bed at night. You may put the bed on a divan, or straight on the floor, the most important thing is the mattress you choose. First, check on the age of the bed. Most bed starts to drop after 10 to 13 years of usage, so there’s chance you need a new one.
The placement of the bed also needs consideration. Most people love to place the bed by the window, so when the morning come, their body can naturally react and awake from the change of temperature or brightness.

6. Knick Knacks
We cover all of the essentials in a bedroom, how about some other tiny details that we love to have around? You can put some paintings, artwork or pictures on the empty space of the wall. You can also decorate with some home plants in the corner to give a nature touch. Play around, express your personality through these details and make the bedroom truly yours.
