If there is one thing we unconditionally love about the internet, it will be online shopping. It’s so easy to find something you need with lot of options at different price range. But since it comes with endless choices, it can also overwhelm you.
Lately we’ve been shopping some furnitures for our bedroom through the online market place and with so many options available, we learn to become more selective to get the best deal with the best quality product. Here are several notes we take during our experience to find functioning piece with long durability.
Multifunction Table
If you need a table at the bedroom, you have to make sure it can serve for a lot of purpose. From our experience, the table can be a working desk, or where the books we are currently reading piled, or sometimes, a late night dinner table. Having a multifunction table is quite important, especially if you have limited space.
Our first concern will be the material of the table. We prefer table that is made of wood or steel because it has better durability and sturdier to hold heavy stuffs than plastic material. Teak wood and pine wood are our top choice. They have a beautiful natural pattern and can last for a very long time. The price point of teak and pine wood might be slightly higher than other material, nevertheless it’s a good investment for an essential furniture we need at home.
Comfy chair
Table is done, now we are looking for the chair. We are thinking of a chair that is comfortable enough to sit for hours, as it will mostly be a place we read or hang out. We want it to have a good back rest and arm chair as well as decent pillowing on the seater. We don’t want a couch because it’s bigger than a chair and we have limited space. The ideal pick will be a minimalist chair that has all the features that we want.
It’s easier to pick the chair though, since we have more options in term of the style, color and good material. So the rest is the matter of the budget we have to buy it. We think chair is faster to outgrown, so we are open to any material as long as it fits the budget and ticks the checklist.
Divan and mattress
The uncompromised value for a divan is the sturdiness, so teak wood is our first choice. It will be quite heavy, so we are looking for something that can be unassembled in case we need to move the furniture around. We mentioned before that teak wood has a good durability for long term usage, that’s why we are willing to invest on a good one.
We heard latex mattress has a good durability and good support for your body, thus we’ve been browsing for a good one. After a research, we decide to get a bed in a box because it’s easy to ship and carry in the house. There are only handful of bed in a box brands that produce one with latex material. But you can find anything on the internet if you look hard enough!
Cabinet
This one item is quite essential if you need to keep several things tidy in your bedroom. In our case, we’d prefer to store important and valuable papers at our bedroom, so we need a 3 tiers cabinet, which for us big enough to organise everything we have. The locking system is the key to pick a good cabinet. The second consideration will be waterproof material which brings us to steel.
Those points are the most essential for us to have at our bedroom.
