Do you know that having good posture can affect your energy and keep away fatigue? Yes, good posture is essential, if it’s not the core pillar to your overall physical health. Ensuring your body to be symmetrically aligned with the right muscle tension while doing various activities may sound complicated, but it can be trained!
Our body is designed to maintain normal posture unconsciously using certain mucles, but here are some outline to help you:
- Standing position: stand straight and tall, as if there’s a string pulls your entire body up. Put your weight on your feet, tuck your stomach in and let your hands hang naturally from the body side.
- Sitting position: make sure your feets are stepping on the floor, rather than hanging mid air. Relax your shoulders with your forearms resting on the chair’s arm. Have your backrest support your entire back.
- Lying position: one of the most important element to have a quality sleep is having a good and comfortable mattress. It doesn’t really matter if you prefer a firm surface or a softer one, as long as it can support your body well. Try lying on your back when you’re sleeping and support your head with pillow in an elevated position for a better blood circulation.
